Back Country Horsemen of Kansas currently has five chapters operating throughout the state. See below to find a chapter near you! If you don't want to join a chapter, you can join as a state member at large.
Congratulations to Chisholm Trail BCHKS for receiving a 2023 BCHA Chapter Support Grant!
2023 BCHKS Workhorse Awards were presented to Jamie Studebaker (Sunflower), Farley Ratzlaff (Saddle Ridge), Laura Smyth (Chisholm Trail), Susan Searles (Big Hill), Gerry Cummings (Saddle Ridge), John Leighty (Saddle Ridge), and Terri & Keith Fayle (Sunflower) at the BCHKS Annual Meeting in Overbrook. Recipients not pictured were Ted Craig (Sunflower), Jim & Colleen Neely (Big Hill), Jim Pickett (Saddle Ridge). The Workhorse Award recognizes members from each chapter for their outstanding contributions each year. Previous recipients include: Saddle Ridge - Stephanie Huss; Tuttle Creek -Pattie Stalder & Kent Wassenberg; Big Hill - Bill Racy; Sunflower - Kenny Patterson, Ed Jarvis, Jo Turner & Dewayne Burgess (Perry); Jim & Cheryl Thomas (Melvern Lake); Ken & Susan Johnson (Pomona Lake); Delbert & Diana Skinner (Clinton Lake); Sheila Watkins; Justine Staten (Kansas Horse Council).
