Back Country Horsemen of Kansas currently has five chapters operating throughout the state. See below to find a chapter near you! If you don't want to join a chapter, you can join as a state member at large.

2022 BCHKS Workhorse Awards were presented to Stephanie Huss (Saddle Ridge), Pattie Stalder (Tuttle Creek), and Bill Racy (Big Hill) at the BCHKS Annual Meeting in Emporia. The Workhorse Award recognizes members from each chapter for their outstanding contributions each year. Other 2022 recipients included Kenny Patterson and Ed Jarvis (Sunflower - Perry Lake) and Kent Wassenberg (Tuttle Creek). Previous years' recipients include: Dewayne Burgess & Jo Turner, Ed Jarvis (Sunflower - Perry Lake); Jim & Cheryl Thomas (Sunflower - Melvern Lake); Ken & Susan Johnson (Sunflower - Pomona Lake); Delbert & Diana Skinner (Sunflower - Clinton Lake); Sheila Watkins (Sunflower); Justine Staten (Kansas Horse Council). Keeping Kansas trails open for future generations!
