TUTTLE CREEK CHAPTER

The Tuttle Creek Chapter of Back Country Horsemen focuses its work and dedication towards Randolph State Park Horse Trails and Carnahan Park Trails. ​

TUTTLE CREEK LAKE - RANDOLPH AREA

TRAILS
Almost 15 miles of multi-use trails with several trailheads on both north and south areas of the park. Well marked trails through wooded area.  

CAMPING
South Randolph:  Modern camp split into two loops. Toilet, showers potable water throughout camp, dump station, 20 electric hookup with community water access. Four full hookup sites available–Randolph #208-211. Camp host not in campground year round. Horse pens at sites 206 and 207 plus in primitive area. Wash racks and large covered picnic area with grill are also available. Make reservations for  South Randolph Campground by calling Tuttle Creek State Park, 785-539-7941.

LOCATION
From Manhattan, take Highway 24 north to HIghway 77, which goes north to Highway 16; follow east across bridge to Randolph State Park or follow Highway 13 north across the Tuttle Creek Dam to Highway 16 west. Then go 15 miles to Randolph State Park entrance.

TUTTLE CREEK LAKE - CARNAHAN AREA 

TRAILS
Corps of Engineers area with 5-mile loop trail. Trails are subject to high water/mud during wet weather. Nice views of lake.

CAMPING
Primitive overnight camping only. Vault toilet and small shelter house.

​LOCATION
From Manhattan, cross Tuttle Creek Dam on Highway 13; turn left on Carnahan Road and continue to Park Road. Sign at corner reads “Carnahan Rec Area.” Follow Park road to Rec Area sign.
